Does this AI in Action self-paced course fulfill the Graduate Course Enrichment Badge?
No. The AI in Workplace badge earned by taking this self-paced AI in Action course is not associated with any Graduate Learning Enrichment badge. It is a stand-alone learning opportunity for those wanting to learn more about AI. It is not associated with any scholarship or certificate program. If you are looking for more information about the Graduate Learning Enrichment self-paced courses, reach out to your enrollment counselor.
What if I participated in the September 2024 AI in Action boot camp, should I register for this self-paced course?
If you attended the live AI in Action Boot Camp (September 16-19, 2024) and earned the Applying AI Technologies to the Workplace Badge, there’s no need to enroll in the self-paced course. The content mirrors that of the boot camp. However, if you did not complete the requirements for a badge, you are welcome to join this self-paced experience to explore AI at your own pace.
What prior AI experience is necessary to participate in this AI in Action offering?
No previous AI badge is required to earn the AI in the Workplace badge.

What is the format and what will I learn?
The AI in the Workplace course is a non-credit, self-paced learning opportunity consisting of four content modules with automated assessments and a final survey. The first three modules focus on AI trends, tool management, and ethical decision-making. The fourth module offers a deeper dive into how AI can be leveraged within specific industries, allowing you to tailor your learning to your interests.
How do I earn the badge?
To earn the AI in the Workplace badge, you must complete all course requirements. This includes registering for and completing the self-paced course by watching the videos, reviewing the resources, and passing each module’s assessment with a score of 75% or higher. There are four content modules. The fifth module contains a feedback survey. Your digital badge will be awarded via email once you meet all the requirements. It will take a few days for the badge to be processed and emailed to recipients.
The deadline for Northeastern University students, faculty, and staff to complete the course and earn a badge is Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
