This session is designed for innovation managers, product developers, and design professionals, where you’ll explore the strategic and practical aspects of integrating AI into the innovation and design process. Participants will gain insight into how AI can enhance creativity, streamline workflows, and improve decision-making. Additionally, the session will discuss the challenges of embedding AI into existing processes, considering trust, ethics, and the distinction between general and expert AI models.

Tucker Marion is an Associate Professor at Northeastern’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business and the College of Engineering, where he specializes in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. He is the Partnership Innovation Director and Faculty Director of the Master of Science in Management ‘X’ platform. His research focuses on optimizing new product development and innovation through collaborative IT, digital design, and product architecture. Before academia, Tucker held roles in product development and manufacturing at Visteon and Ford, and he has founded three ventures. He earned degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University, Technology Management from the University of Pennsylvania and Wharton, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Penn State. Tucker co-authored “The Innovation Navigator” (2019) and has published in top journals.

Benyamin Davaji joined Northeastern Engineering as an assistant professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Marquette University in 2016 and held a post-doctoral associate position in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University. His main research interests include integrated microsystems emphasizing sensing and computation using mechanical waves, acoustic/ultrasound transducers, bio-interfaces, microcalorimetry, and implementing data-guided methods for system design, nanofabrication, and semiconductor manufacturing.
